In an ever-evolving environment, the insurance and reinsurance sector must face new challenges at an unprecedented pace. It is based on this conviction that the ACA launched the ACA Innovation Award in 2020, a unique event in Luxembourg. More than just a competition, it is a catalyst for concrete collaborations between technology startups and insurers, designed to foster solutions that are directly applicable to the sector’s needs.
One challenge, one day, real solutions
Each year, six startups, carefully selected with the help of our partners, take on a challenge identified by the members of our Innovation Working Group.
During one intense day, they co-develop a pragmatic solution as a team, tested on real-life use cases.
A collaborative format that goes far beyond the pitch
This immersive format allows for in-depth exploration of key issues, challenging of ideas, validation of feasibility… and above all, going beyond a mere showcase exercise.
The result? Robust solutions, grounded in real-life operations and ready for deployment.

For many participants, the ACA Innovation Award was much more than a competition: they successfully turned the opportunity into reality by securing tangible partnerships with Luxembourg insurers and associate members, leading to the actual deployment of their solutions in the field.
Innovation as a driver of the sector
The event brings together over a hundred professionals from the insurance, consulting, technology, and institutional sectors.
They come to preview the innovations that will shape the insurance industry of tomorrow, connect during the networking cocktail, and attend an award ceremony in the presence of the Minister for Digitalization. A powerful opportunity to affirm a shared ambition: innovation in service of the sector’s future.
