Stronger together – ABBL and ACA announce enhanced cooperation

Today, ABBL and ACA, agreed to strengthen their collaboration on several fronts. Whilst the two associations cover different sectors of the financial economy, and their members have specific interests and concerns, there are several areas of overlapping interests. In an effort to further exploit existing synergies and increase their impact, the two organisations will work more closely together in the following areas:

  • The existing ABBL/ALFI representative office in Brussels will expand its portfolio to include insurance and reinsurance dossiers at the EU level
  • Where appropriate, the two associations will issue common positions on selected topics, particularly in the areas of sustainable finance, labour law, taxation and financial education
  • In matters of employer representation, the two associations will deepen the already close cooperation, and ensure a structured approach

The two associations will remain independent, and their respective priorities will continue to be the support of their own members’ interests.

Our members are in different sectors, but share many common interests. We hope that a more formalised cooperation model will give our members an even stronger voice.

Guy Hoffmann, Chairman of the ABBL

ACA will continue to strongly defend insurance and reinsurance interests. Working more closely with ABBL is a real opportunity to strengthen the Luxembourg financial centre.

Marc Lauer, Chairman of ACA
